Amber heat health alerts extended for the East Midlands, East of England, London, West Midlands, South East and South West

Extended amber alerts will now be in place until Sat 15 Aug at 10am. Alerts in the North East, North West and Yorkshire and the Humber have not been extended and are in place until 9pm on Fri 14 Aug. More information.

Changes to when healthcare metrics will be updated

From next month, the NHS is changing how often it publishes healthcare data. From 4 April, updates to healthcare metrics will be paused.

We expect to resume publication on Thursday 16 May. After this date we will publish new data monthly instead of weekly. This change is because NHS England has announced a change to when it will make this data available.
