Yellow alert for Yorkshire and the Humber, East Midlands, West Midlands, East of England, London, South East and South West. Alerts will be effective from 4pm Wed 13 Aug until 6pm Mon 18 Aug. Further information available at Weather Health Alerts.

Updated measles chart

We have updated the chart showing measles cases by week of symptom onset.

The cases are now represented by markers connected by straight lines to show the data more accurately. We have also added a new colour palette to make it easier to distinguish between different trend lines.

A blue shaded section now shows the reporting delay, affecting the last 4 weeks of data collected. This replaces the dashed lines that we previously used to represent these data. The figures shown in this period are likely to underestimate the number of cases. This happens because of a delay between data collection and the time it takes to process it.
