Yellow cold health alert issued for most of England

The cold health alert is effective from 6pm on Fri 17 Jan until 9am on Tues 21 Jan for all regions except South West England. You can find out more information by checking our weather health alerts page.

Updates to how Weather Health Alerts display

We have updated how Weather Health Alerts are displayed on the dashboard.

On the homepage all regions are now grouped according to their alert status. Each alert status and colour is now clearly labelled.

On the full screen map, we have added a key to the bottom left-hand corner of the map. This explains the alert status for each colour used (green for 'No Alert', yellow for 'Yellow Alert', amber for 'Amber Alert' and red for 'Red Alert'). You can show and hide the key on the map. We have also added UKHSA's logo in the top right-hand corner.
