What's new
Last updated on Thursday, 13 February 2025 at 08:35pm
We regularly update the dashboard with new data and features. Here we'll show a timeline of changes that have happened outside of the weekly data refresh.
- Entry category: New FeatureEntry title: Metrics documentation added
We've added detailed information about available data metrics. This will cover:
- definition (what the metric is)
- rationale (why we’re showing the metric)
- methodology (how the metric is collected and calculated)
- caveats (additional information that will help users to understand what the metric is showing)
- Entry category: UpdateEntry title: Statement of compliance with Code of Practice for Statistics added
We've added a statement of voluntary compliance with the Code of Practice for Statistics. The statement outlines how the dashboard meets the requirements of the three pillars of the Code of Practice - trustworthiness, quality and value - to ensure that users can have confidence in the data.
- Entry category: UpdateEntry title: Accessibility statement updated
We've added an accessibility statement to the footer of the UKHSA data dashboard. The statement outlines overall accessibility of the website as well as some of its parts that are non-compliant. We'll continue to test all pages in this service and will update the accessibility statement when anything changes.
- Entry category: New FeatureEntry title: COVID-19 Autumn 2023 vaccine booster data added to the dashboard
We've added data for the latest COVID-19 vaccine booster campaign to the dashboard. Overall uptake can be found on the homepage and more detailed breakdowns can be found on the COVID-19 topic page.
- Entry category: New FeatureEntry title: Bulk download functionality added to the dashboard
We’ve added a new page that brings in new functionality to allow users to download all the data from the dashboard charts. The bulk download will make it easier for users to analyse the dashboard data using their own tools. The data will be available in a zip file format.
- Entry category: New FeatureEntry title: Tabbed view added to the dashboard
We’ve added a tabbed view to the dashboard. The tabbed view makes it easier to compare chart and tabular data as well as download the data. Currently the data is available in csv format and new formats will be added later.
- Entry category: New FeatureEntry title: Other respiratory viruses data added to the homepage
We’ve added data for other respiratory viruses to the homepage of the dashboard. The homepage of the dashboard shows headline positivity figures for:
- adenovirus
- human metapneumovirus (hMPV)
- parainfluenza
- rhinovirus
- respiratory syncytial virus (RSV)
Further data can be found on the other respiratory viruses page.
- Entry category: New FeatureEntry title: Updated CSV download and tabular data functionality
We’ve added the functionality to download a CSV file of a graph across all pages.
We’ve updated the tabular data to show all the corresponding data points. Additionally, the table is now in descending order, so the most recent data is visible first. We’ve also added the functionality to scroll through the table, so it remains a consistent size on the page.
- Entry category: New FeatureEntry title: Soft launch of the UKHSA data dashboard
The UKHSA data dashboard is an iteration of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) in the UK dashboard. The dashboard is launching with data on respiratory viruses, including COVID-19. It will grow to show data on a wider range of health topics. We’ll use feedback from users during the soft launch to improve the service.
Once the UKHSA data dashboard passes the government Service Standard assessment, it will replace the COVID-19 dashboard and be the only UKHSA dashboard for public-facing data (including COVID-19 data).
The UKHSA data dashboard is in the initial phase of the government Service Standard assessment and is still undergoing statistical review. For reporting and analytical purposes, continue to use the COVID-19 dashboard.
