Other respiratory viruses

Other common respiratory viruses include adenovirus, human metapneumovirus (hMPV), parainfluenza and rhinovirus.
The healthcare data we have for other respiratory viruses comes from a sentinel surveillance system (a data collection method used to monitor trends). This means the healthcare data is not a count of every person being treated for the respiratory virus in hospital. Find out more about data collection for other respiratory viruses.
During the autumn and the winter we update metrics for other respiratory viruses every Thursday at 4pm.
Adenovirus - weekly positivity of people receiving a PCR test
Adenovirus - the percentage of people who had a PCR test and had at least one positive PCR test result for adenovirus in the same 7 days. Data is shown by specimen date (the date the sample was collected).
