Healthcare-associated infections (HCAI)
Last updated on Tuesday, 15 October 2024 at 10:31am
We collect data on several healthcare-associated infections (HCAIs) that pose a significant threat to public health. This page shows data from our enhanced mandatory surveillance programme, which include 6 data collections. We use specific criteria to categorise cases into those linked to healthcare settings and those acquired in the community. The mandatory surveillance captures all patients who test positive for any of the infections we monitor. This means we include both healthcare-associated and community-associated cases.
We update this data on the first Thursday of every month at 4pm.
